Your Guide to Being a Member of Mebyon Kernow
Joining a political party is an important step to take. We hope you will agree with the aims and policies of Mebyon Kernow - The Party for Cornwall. It is, after all, the only party fighting for Cornwall.

WHAT CAN I DO AS AN MK MEMBER?
Every member has an important decision to make about how active he or she wishes to be within the party. Some people will simply carry the MK membership card and help with our funds, but many others will be able to get more fully involved in party activities. Through their local branch, members can take part in electioneering, raising funds, participating in political debates and making sure the party is to the fore locally.

WHAT IS THE STRUCTURE OF MEBYON KERNOW?
When you join MK, you automatically become a member of your local branch which will cover one of Cornwall's six Westminster Parliamentary Constituencies. These branches are the workhorses of our party. The National Executive Committee and its various sub-committees develop policy through wide consultations of the party membership. Party policy is decided, and important decisions taken, at the Annual Conference.

WHAT SAY DOES AN MK MEMBER HAVE?
Every member has an equal say in Mebyon Kernow - the Party for Cornwall, in the branches and at the Annual Conference. Our party is committed to, and practices, one member one vote.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Membership of Mebyon Kernow costs only £12.00 each year or £6.00 if you are unwaged. Family membership is available at £15. Overseas membership is £15 each year.

Life membership for individuals is £120.

YOUR MEMBERSHIP ...
Your membership of MK will run from April to April. Members will receive copies of the party magazine Cornish Nation four times a year, along with further details about party events, local meetings and campaigns.
