Mebyon Kernow has hit out at the announcement that sixty-two post offices in Cornwall could close or be replaced with mobile services.
Forty-nine branches have been ear-marked for closure, while another thirteen will be replaced with a mobile service.

Mebyon Kernow has formally objected to the planning application which seeks to construct a waste incinerator close to the Clay Country village of St Dennis.
The Party for Cornwall believes that a centralised ‘strategy’ to deal with Cornwall’s waste focussed around a massive incinerator, with an annual throughput of 240,000 tonnes of waste, is not the way forward.

MK WELCOMES ANNOUNCEMENT OF STUDY INTO RAIL IMPROVEMENTS
Network Rail will announce on Monday that it is to commission a study to investigate an expansion of the United Kingdom’s rail network.
Passenger numbers have risen by about 40% over the last decade and are expected to swell by a further 30% in the next 10 years. The study will consider laying new ‘high-speed’ lines alongside five of the UK's busiest routes by 2025, which includes the Great Western main line to Cardiff and Penzance.
