“Devolution: the next steps” – all welcome

It is just over two weeks to MK’s half-day Conference at Bodmin on 22nd July. Titled “Devolution – the next steps,” the event aims to bring people to together to discuss what is next for the campaign for greater self-government for Cornwall.

MK leader Cllr Dick Cole will give a briefing about the recent debates on “devolution” at Cornwall Council, as well as the emerging policy positions of the Westminster parties in advance of the next General Election. The main part of the event will focus on workshop sessions / table discussions, which will seek opinions from MK members and others about how we approach campaigns to get more powers for Cornwall.

Dr Garry Tregidga will also be present and will speak about a new book on devolution for Cornwall, that will have been launched in the week prior to the event.

The MK event will take place at the Shire Hall Suite in Bodmin. The door will open at 1.00, with the actual meeting taking place between 2.00 and 5.00.

It is also open to one and all, so please help us make it a success. Please invite any friends or colleagues that you think might be interested to find out more about our efforts to secure a Parliament for Cornwall.
