Following the resignation of Nicola Sturgeon, the First Minister of Scotland and leader of the SNP, MK’s leadership team has released the following statement:

“Nicola Sturgeon has been an amazing servant of the people of Scotland, serving as First Minister for eight years and Deputy First Minister for a similar period before that. We would wish to associate ourselves with all the positive tributes that have been paid today and we fully agree with the SNP’s Westminster Leader Stephen Flynn MP that she has been an outstanding political leader for Scotland.

“It is inspiring to view what Nicola Sturgeon and other parliamentarians are achieving through the Scottish Parliament, and we look forward to the day that we achieve a meaningful democratic settlement for Cornwall.”
