These comprise one on topics for the next census and a second linked about ethnicity/nationality. Both consultations close on 4th February. The leader of Mebyon Kernow has called for the creation of a Cornish Police Force, following the UK Government announcement that they plan to cut the number of police forces serving Cornwall, England and Wales. This week, Mebyon Kernow members and supporters are marking the 75th anniversary of the founding of Mebyon Kernow at the Oates Temperance Hotel in Redruth, which took place on 6th January 1951. Thirteen people were present at the meeting and a further six sent apologies.
